Evette Davis serves as Senior Vice President and Partner at Bodewell Group (formerly Southwest Strategies Group), where she leads the Bay Area public affairs practice. Evette is a veteran communications professional with extensive experience in government relations, crisis communications, public relations, and public affairs.
A former journalist and congressional press secretary, Evette supports clients through media relations, community relations, and public affairs. She helps redirect public conversations while protecting clients’ long-term goals and reputation and supports alliance-building with key stakeholders when it matters most.
In 1999, Evette co-founded BergDavis Public Affairs, acquired by Bodewell Group in 2024. At BergDavis, she built a respected consulting firm known for its strategic communications, community outreach, and government affairs work. An accomplished writer, Evette has published four novels and, in 2014, founded her own independent press.
